A JOURNEY IN RAIN
“Rain is liquid water in the form of droplets that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and then precipitated—that is, become heavy enough to fall under gravity..”I too had the same plain definition of rain in
my intellect .But it was a fascinating experience for me to realise its actual
meaning.
It was a quick move from my sparkling eyed handsome classmate
from our school corridor to my umbrella. He did not ask anyone’s permission not
even mine. ”Come on, let us move”, that was a kind of order to me. But I did
not say no or even spelled anything. We walked together from our school to the
bus stand, a journey of ten or fifteen minutes’. I was staring at his face when
it was heavily raining outside. When we were about to reach, he said”I believe
that I need not ask your permission for getting into your umbrella, am I right?
I know you will not let me get wet”. But I could not tell anything. I think he
got a bit angry and was about to leave the umbrella. This time I pulled his
hand and I could see him smiling with his eyes sparkling than ever before.”Promise
me this is forever”, again his magical voice. I was puzzled but I don’t know
somehow I smiled. That was enough .He was waving his hands when I looked back.
My heart got heavy and light concurrently. But I understood it was not just a
simple journey, it was the journey from his heart to my heart and rain is no
more simply a scientific definition. Rain means a lot to me, a lot to us...
