Anjitha, III BA English, during her one year study at Scottsdale Community College Education in a foreign country seemed to be a great challenge for me in the beginning as I was not exposed to any of the resources available to me here at Scottsdale Community College, back in our country. The experiences that I gained and the complexities that I faced have shaped me to become a global citizen and a better human being. Though I came across changes, I still believe that it is the basic foundation that I received from my college and teachers helped me to adapt to this new environment. My actions and thoughts are always influenced by the lessons that I received from my college. BLOGGING WORKSHOP Department of English of MES Mampad College organized a workshop on blogging.Miss Aswathi, Asst. Professor at Unity Women's College Manjeri was the resource person. The session was scheduled to begin at 9:30 am and concluded at 1 pm. Selected students from the department attended the workshop. Miss Aswathi gave a wonderful introduction to the topic. Later on, each student was assigned to create ones own blog and several tasks were carried out. Each of them actively participated in the session. The students were able to get a clear idea about the topic and it indeed was a great and resourceful experience…we enjoyed a lot... Participants of the workshop

A JOURNEY IN RAIN “ Rain is liquid water in the form of droplets that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and then precipitated —that is, become heavy enough to fall under gravity ..” I too had the same plain definition of rain in my intellect .But it was a fascinating experience for me to realise its actual meaning. It was a quick move from my sparkling eyed handsome classmate from our school corridor to my umbrella. He did not ask anyone’s permission not even mine. ”Come on, let us move”, that was a kind of order to me. But I did not say no or even spelled anything.
